Silvertip Resort: a unique venue in the Bow Valley

Silvertip isn’t just Package 1 or Package 2 kind of venue, we want your big day to be unique and personalized to your dream wedding. With many wedding facilities and rooms to choose from, there is something beautiful for every event.
Silvertip hosts between 100- 130 weddings per year, and in the busy summer months, will host up to 4 weddings on any given weekend. In July and August, it is also not unusual for a wedding to fall on a Tuesday due to popular demand for summer weddings, and Silvertip’s stellar reputation. Silvertip Resort is also the home to over 100 golf tournaments, charity golf tournaments, meetings, retreats and conferences, making a Silvertip wedding an exclusive event.
Our Event Managers
The role of the Silvertip Events Managers is to provide you with answers to your questions, and aid in organization of the venue leading up to your wedding. Silvertip will set up all items included with the venue; tables, linens, chairs, etc. However, organization and set up of décor, centerpieces, flowers, rentals, cakes, etc. is unique to each couple and therefore we do not provide this service. At Silvertip Resort, we know every couple is different and has a distinctive vision for their big day. We are proud to say that we specialize in tailoring our services to help our guests achieve their dream wedding.

Danielle McBride, Jennifer Yeo, and Nadine Shenher are our events managers at Silvertip Resort. Each has a slightly different role and brings a wealth of experience.
Danielle McBride
Danielle McBride is an Event Manager at Silvertip Resort in Canmore, Alberta. Danielle is responsible for all aspects of the event process from the initial sales inquiry, booking, planning to complete event execution and final billing/reconciliation.
Danielle has been in charge of over 400 events at Silvertip, ranging from extravagant weddings, exclusive corporate retreats and full golf tournaments of up to 144 players. Silvertip provides a key environment for events to be truly unique; paired with Danielle’s keen attention to detail, passion for great customer service and desire to create memorable experiences are all reasons why Silvertip is one of the most desirable venues in Canmore.
Danielle was born and raised in Toronto, until she moved to the Rocky Mountains of Kananaskis, Alberta in February of 2006. Danielle started her sales/catering journey at the Delta Lodge at Kananaskis as a Sales Coordinator and then moved on to Silvertip Resort in 2009 as the Event Manager. After a short hiatus, in 2015 she returned to her position at Silvertip.
Danielle’s hobbies include indoor/outdoor exercise, golfing, skiing, hiking and biking as well as cooking and spending time with her family and friends.
Jennifer Yeo
Jennifer Yeo is an Event Manager at Silvertip Resort and is currently responsible for sales, organizing and executing golf tournaments, corporate events and weddings.
Jennifer grew up in a small town in Saskatchewan and attended Lethbridge College, where she completed a diploma in Multimedia Production. However, a post-graduation summer job at a popular golf resort in Waskesiu Lake, Saskatchewan changed her career direction. Jennifer ended up staying at the resort for 6 years where she eventually moved to Sales, Catering and Event Coordinating.
To date, Jennifer has organized over 1000 events during her time in the industry. Since joining Silvertip in 2010, Jennifer has organized over 600 events at Silvertip Resort. From National golf tournaments and fundraisers, to high profile conferences and weddings of all sizes. Jennifer enjoys the variety of clients she gets to collaborate with each day and strives to provide all guests with truly memorable experiences during their time at Silvertip Resort.
In her spare time, Jennifer has a three-year-old daughter to keep her busy when she’s not at Silvertip. She has lived in Canmore since 2009 and is happy to call the Bow Valley her home. She enjoys golfing, snowboarding, knitting, nail design and a good glass of wine.
Nadine Shenher
Nadine Shenher is an Event Manager at Silvertip Resort in Canmore, Alberta. Nadine is responsible for sales, executing and planning Weddings and Corporate Events (Golf Tournaments) from concept to completion.
Nadine is originally from Saskatchewan and moved to Edmonton, Alberta to attend NAIT where she completed a Business Administrative Diploma and specialized in Marketing. She furthered her education to University of Athabasca in Business Commerce. Also, Nadine completed her National Certificate in Tourism at Aurora College (Formerly Arctic College) in Yellowknife, NT. Nadine has completed various courses in Film Television & Media in Calgary along with many other diplomas.
Nadine brings to Silvertip key customer service rapport and relationship building from various corporate events to real estate projects and luxury home sales. As a previous Real Estate Associate in Luxury Homes and Area Sales Manager for Lionsworthe (Truman Homes) Nadine has been in charge of real estate projects from contracts, design consulting, walk-throughs to final day possessions. As an Event Manager, Nadine brings her passion for people and keen interest and creativity to each Wedding and Event. Nadine believes in providing a strong service with positivity that builds and maintains alliances with vendors and clients. The collaborative approach to all relationships enhances the successful outcome. Her attention to detail and always maintaining an upbeat attitude allows for a lasting impression and valuable insight in planning events and making the guests experience unique.
After living in the Rocky Mountains for over a year, Nadine is happy to call Canmore home. Her passion for Weddings and interacting with many international couples to help plan their dream wedding at Silvertip Resort, makes Nadine feel as though she has found her place.
In her personal time, you can find Nadine painting colorful abstract expressionism artwork and is inspired by the Canadian Rocky Mountains. She also loves travelling, golfing, skiing and hiking.
Danielle, Jen and Nadine’s favourite part of their job at Silvertip Resort is seeing the happy and glowing couples on their wedding day! Ceremonies still make Danielle tear up, and Nadine’s heart melts, while watching the first dance. Overall, the three event managers love to help their clients feel comfortable, and help them achieve their dream wedding.
