COVID-19 Resort Procedures

 Update: February 9th, 2022

In response to the changes in restrictions for COVID-19 in our province, Silvertip Resort, Rustica and Stoney’s Lounge & Patio will NOT be moving forward with the implementation of the Restrictions Exemption Program.

Regulation details are as follows:

  • Proof of vaccination no longer required
  • Mask requirements removed for children under 13
  • 10 people maximum per table
  • No mingling between tables

Beginning March 1st:

  • Indoor masking no longer required
  • Capacity limits lifted



All staff have received training on COVID-19 safety and sanitation protocols and will be updated daily as new information becomes available.
Ongoing resort disinfecting protocols

All guest areas, work areas, washrooms and staff areas are disinfected on a regularly scheduled basis.
Please let one of our team members know immediately if you are uncomfortable with anything you observe while at Silvertip.  Your safety and the safety of our team members is our highest concern.

Preventative Measures:

Appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) will be worn by all front facing staff in adherence with federal, provincial and local regulations and guidance. The resort will be using PPE in addition to the following preventative supplies and measures:

Protective masks will be provided to each staff member
Social distancing signs have been placed throughout the resort.
Plexiglass protective shields have been placed on counters in areas where there is guest and staff interact.
Hand sanitizer dispensers are located around the resort and are available at all entrances to the building.
All of our staff members have available disinfectant spray bottles with instructions as well as disinfectant wipes that will be available in all common areas and back of house locations.
Outdoor hand sanitation stations, available to staff and guests, are in high traffic areas.
Door handles, keyboards, phones, handrails, cash machines, restrooms, common areas, and flat surfaces are being cleaned on a regular schedule.

Cleaning Products and Protocols:

Silvertip Resort uses only approved cleaning products and protocols that are approved for use and effective against COVID-19, viruses, bacteria, and other airborne pathogens.

The frequency of cleaning and sanitizing has been increased in all public spaces with an emphasis on frequent contact surfaces including, but not limited to, check-in counters, door handles, public bathrooms, locks, and ATMs.
All golf carts are sanitized and then washed at the completion of each round.
Range balls are sanitized and cleaned after each use.
To ensure the safety of our guests and staff the following are currently not available:
coolers on the cart, club cleaners and bag racks on the driving range, seating of no more than 6 people at a table and no seating at the bar.


Food & Beverage will be operating offering dine in with social distancing parameters, as well, Silvertip will also be offering grab & go, take out and pick-up as we reopen under the Alberta Government COVID-19 operating guidelines. Social distancing of 6 feet between guests is paramount for everyone’s safety and enjoyment.

General Measures:

Menus are sanitized between each use
Check presenters, pens and other reusable guest contact items are sanitized after each use
Food preparation stations are sanitized at least once per hour
Kitchens are deep cleaned and sanitized at least once per day
All guest facing Team Members will be wearing masks for their protection and yours.


Available from Stoney’s Lounge and Patio from 12:00 pm  for either dine in or takeout.
Walk-ins only, no reservations at this time.
On course options available at the Bunkers located adjacent to the Bag Drop area.


Available in Rustica Dining room from 5:00pm – 9:00 pm, Thursday -Sunday

Dinner to-go is also available, please call to place your dinner order. Allow a minimum of 45 minutes prior to picking up your order.
We recommend that reservations are made for dinner as there is limited seating to ensure safe distancing for our guests.
We ask that all our guests that would like takeout please place your order in advance, we will be able to expedite the process and better serve you.
Guests may choose to be notified via phone call or a text message when their order is ready
If you have dietary restrictions or food allergies, please inform us at time of order and our culinary team will gladly assist

Alcoholic Beverages

Alcohol is available for consumption in restaurants or on the golf courses as well as for purchase to take home.



Upon arrival, please proceed to the bag drop area where a staff member will greet guests arriving to the resort and direct you to your cart.
We ask you to place your clubs on the cart to reduce the number of touch points.
Guest are advised to practice social distancing by standing six feet away from golfers not traveling with them, use hand sanitizer.
Proceed to the golf shop to make your payment for greens fees and make any purchases necessary for you to enjoy your day.

You may proceed to the driving range to warm up on the driving range mats, please do not move mats as they are set up to maintain social distancing.  All balls are sanitized between uses.
If you are from the same household you will be allowed to ride together, you may choose to share a cart if you are not from the same house hold however both riders are to wear a mask. Should you wish to have your own golf cart please let our Guest Services department know.

The NEW Silvertip Golf Shop

The “NEW” Silvertip Golf Shop is limited to twelve guests at any given time.
Social distancing markers have been placed on the floor, encouraging six feet of distance between guests for payment of fees and purchases.  When you are shopping please maintain a safe distance from fellow guests.
Please feel free to try on any clothing, all of our change rooms are wiped down between guest use.
Plexiglass protective shields are placed on golf shop counters.
If possible, please pay with a credit card.

On Course

Scorecards tees, pencil and water will be provided on your cart.
Flag sticks will remain in the cup with foam bumper
Rakes will be removed from golf course bunkers, please improve your lie
Carts are sanitized before and after each use
Frequent sanitation of the on-course bathroom located between hole 7 and 15
When teeing off, only one person should be on the tee box, with the rest of the group spread around the tee box maintaining social distance.
In order to better maintain social distance please continuous putt on the greens and once putting has been completed please maintain social distance with your fellow players.


The Clubhouse will be open for Food and Beverage as well as take out options.
At the completion of play, please proceed to your car to drop off your clubs and remove all of your personal belongings from your cart.
Return your cart to the designated cart drop off area.
What you can do to help us

Stopping the spread of COVID-19 is paramount to our operations and the continuing availability of golf and dining during these new and very uncertain times.

We ask that you are diligent about adhering to the following guidelines:

  • Customary handshake will be replaced with a warm hello
  • Respect the safety of all people around you.
  • Maintain physical distancing of 6 feet
  • Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth
  • Cover your sneeze into your inner elbow
  • Frequent handwashing with soap is vital to help combat the spread of germs
  • Stay home when you are sick or if you are exhibiting signs of COVID-19 get yourself tested immediately.
