Silvertip Resort has been a Designated Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary since 2008 through the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses. An Audubon International program, Silvertip was the 8th golf course in Alberta and 657th in the world to receive the honour. Staff Ecologist for the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Programs. To reach certification a course must demonstrate a high degree of environmental quality and sustainability in a number of areas. These categories include Environmental Planning, Wildlife and Habitat Management, Outreach and Education, Chemical Use Reduction and Safety, Water Conservation, and Water Quality Management.
