Silvertip Resort features a spectacular 18-hole championship course designed by renowned architect Les Furber. This par-72 layout climbs and decends more than 600 feet of elevation, reaching a formidable slope rating of 153 from the championship tees. With five tee options ranging from 5,100 to 7,200 yards, the course delivers a strategic and rewarding challenge for both scratch golfers and recreational players alike.

Audubon Certified
Silvertip Resort has been a Designated Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary since 2008 through the Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary Program for Golf Courses, an international recognition for environmental stewardship and sustainable course management. Silvertip was the eighth golf course in Alberta and the 657th worldwide to receive this distinction.
To achieve certification, a course must demonstrate measurable excellence across environmental planning, wildlife and habitat management, chemical use reduction, water conservation, water quality management and community outreach.
At Silvertip, sustainability is not an initiative. It is an operating philosophy. We are committed to responsible land stewardship and the long-term preservation of the mountain environment and wildlife that define our resort.
Practice Facilities
The Finest Practice Facility in the Canadian Rockies
Featuring all grass-hitting areas (weather dependent), aimed at targets set under Lady Macdonald’s majestic backdrop. Practice all the clubs in your bag while enjoying this beautiful setting. Two practice putting greens are available to sharpen your skills with the short stick. You might even see one of our resident elk enjoying the practice facilities.
Practice Facilities
- Practice facilities are included for all paying golfers.
- Range use is available for non-paying golfers at a rate of $20 per hour, subject to approval.
- Please call the Golf Shop at 403.609.6590 for availability.
- Annual range passes are available for Bow Valley (Morley to Lake Louise) & Silvertip Residents starting at $400 per person. Valid ID is required upon purchase.
- A limited number of blackout dates may affect Practice Facility usage during corporate events or tournaments.
- Course dress code applies at all times.
Rental Clubs
Silvertip Resort is pleased to offer our guests Callaway Rogue rental sets for their golfing needs. For a fee of $75.00 + GST for 18 holes or $35.00 + GST for 9 holes. Each rental set includes a sleeve of Callaway Super Soft Golf Balls.
Please note that our rental clubs are in high demand during the season, and we encourage interested guests to reserve them in advance by contacting our golf shop at 403.609.6590.

Meet Your Instructors
Chris Cooke
CPGA Class "A" Associate Golf Professional
Chris grew up roaming the grounds of the Canmore Golf & Curling Club from the day he could walk. Living in the Rocky Mountains meant golf wasn’t necessarily the primary activity in the area but would soon develop to be a great passion for Chris.
After a successful junior golf career, Chris made the decision to commit to the University of Central Arkansas where he played four years NCAA division 1 golf, ultimately finishing with a business degree in finance.
After graduating from University, Chris made the decision to return home to the Canadian Rockies where he began his journey as a PGA of Canada Apprentice Golf Professional. Spending his first two seasons as a professional at the Canmore Golf & Curling Club, Chris joined the Kananaskis Country Golf Course team as an apprentice professional for the 2018 & 2019 seasons reopening after the devastating floods in 2013. In 2019, Chris was selected by his peers as the recipient of the 2019 PGA of Canada Moe Norman Apprentice professional of the year.
In 2020, Chris accepted the role of Head Golf Professional at Silvertip Resort.
Jacob Dobbyn
CPGA Class "A" Associate Golf Professional
Jacob grew a love for the game at a young age at his local golf club, Boyce Hill, UK. After years of practice and dedication to the game, Jacob turned professional in 2017, at the age of 18, beginning his career as a golf coach.
As a Qualified PGA professional of Great Britain, he gained a reputation within the sport. Following his move to Canada in 2024, Jacob continued his journey as the Director of Instruction at Cangolf where he quickly built strong relationships with local Bow Valley residents.
Jacob joined Silvertip Resort as a Qualified Class “A” Associate CPGA professional where he continues to bring his passion and expertise to a growing loyal client base. Jacob is a valued member of the team with a passion to help and improve golfers of all abilities.
